Computer/ Technology Innovation

I chose vein recognition because it really interested me. Vein recognition systems are amongst the newest biometric technologies to have emerged in the recent past. Vein authentication uses the vascular patterns of an individual's palm/finger/back of the hand as personal identification data. It will impact many people, in many different ways. The problems it will solve will be if you need to identify someone, but have no other way in doing it, then vein recognition can solve it. I think this innovation is different, because the main things you hear now is thumb prints and stuff like that, but now it went to vein recognition. 

Blown to bits Chapter 3 Summary

In this chapter of blown to bits I learned that there is many hidden information in many documents in a computer. It pretty much says in the chapter how this can affect us in many ways, due to which kind of information is stored in the computer and the documents. Of course it might not always affect us in a bad way, it can sometimes help us with other things that will only benefit us too but that also depends what kind of documents you have stored in that certain computer.  Companies apparently have made mistakes with the information hidden in the documents, and the chapter explains some examples these companies made. It is important to be smart and keep every document safe. 

Alex Hattori

The excellence that Alex aachieved was that he is a yoyo player, and he has won many tournaments. He was only 15 when he become the "yoyo king" He has been crowned the double yoyo player of the nation. Alex says he yo-yo's everywhere he goes. He has won many contests because of his skills with the yoyo, he doesn't do just any trick, he knows many of them. Technology impacted this because he probably learned and seen a lot of tricks for the yoyo in the interent. This arete excellence is pretty cool, because not many people take an interest in the yoyo. It is important to take an interest in other things than just the regular stuff, because it may open many opportunities for you.

Blown to Bits Chapter 2

This chapter of blown to bits talks about many things, and some of the main things that stood out to me were that it is extremely dangerous to share several personal information on the Internet, because it can lead to many dangerous things. One of the most obvious things that can happen would have to be stealing money when putting your credit card information on any internet site that isn't legit. If you want to purchase anything online you need to be really careful that the website it real and not nah scam. Many things that I read in this chapter makes me really think about my actions online and in real life as well, because many things can happen to your posting anything online, that can ruin many chances that will eventually come to you in life, just by one little mistake we decide to post. We should really be careful on what we do, especially in the Internet. 

Technology Innovation

As the new iphone watch came out not so long ago, it came with some new features.Using ResearchKit, medical researchers can develop iPhone apps that provide medical information to individuals and collect data from users that can then be used to develop future treatments. It has a lot of data, that can help people to treat diseases. Five launch apps developed with some of the top universities and research institutions in the country will collect information on asthma, Parkinson's, breast cancer, diabetes, and heart health. This will impact the people who suffer from any of these illnesses, but it will impact them in a positive way. It will solve porblems of people worrying about about their health and they won't have to worry as much because they'll have something to keep track on. I think this innovation was a good idea because it can help many people in different ways.

Carl & Margaret Karcher 

They were the couple who own Carls's Jr. They started small, with only a hot dog stand. On his 28th birthday they opened their first buisness which they named it Carl's drive in barbeque in Anaheim California. Their resturaunt expanded quickly, and they were becoming more succcessful. This excellence was achieved by them working together in getting what they wanted for a living. Technology could have impacted this because when they first opened their resturaunt they needed to know how they were going to take orders and how everything was going to work out. This excellence is good because they made their own buisness which is now a popular fast food place. A lesson learned was to not give up on what I want because it will be worth it in the end. 

Technology Innovation

The innovation I chose was apple pay. This innovation lets people use their phones to pay for things at checkout counters, and it makes it easier to pay for things. Instead of you pulling out your actual credit card, you already have all that information on your phone and you just pay through there. I don't think this will impact anybody, because it is only for the people that decide to use it. If someone forgot their wallet, it can solve that problem because if they want to buy something they just pay with their phone. I think this innovation is good, because I personally think it is easier to actually pay for things whether it is online or in store.
